Methods of construction of human hair wigs
- Hand tied – In this process, the wig is made by the insertion of individual strands of hair into mesh foundations and afterwards knotting them together with a needle. This type of wig gives the most natural and realistic look
- Semi hand tied - In this process a combination of hand tied human hair and synthetic hair is used. This type of wig is more affordable than the hand tied one
- Machine made - This type of wig is fully made from machine and perhaps is the least expensive of all wigs.

Maintenance of human hair wigs:
- These wigs can be shampooed but before doing so make sure to remove all tangles either by using a brush or a comb
- Keep in mind that for shampooing, always use a mild shampoo or one that has been formulated for chemically treated hair
- For shampooing, always use warm water
- Never twist or scrub the hair

- For drying, use a blow dryer or hang the wig to air dry
